Syntonics is a branch of optometry associated with the application of selected light frequencies to the eyes. Syntonics has been in use for over 70 years. It has shown benefits for patients with lazy eye, learning issues, autism, brain injury, etc. Med iLight combines the field of syntonics with today’s technologies.

Med iLight consists of different programmed light sequences. Each light sequence is created to target a specific condition of concern. The sequences consist of different colors, or light frequencies, which affect different areas of the brain. For example, the color violet is a very calming frequency and affects the parasympathetic area of the autonomic nervous system.

Since each light sequence is designed for a specific condition, it is required to have a therapeutic professional prescribe the light sequence. Once the light sequence is prescribed, you will receive an access code to enter into your mobile device. This will allow you to start using Med iLight. Each light sequence lasts for 20 minutes, and you have a total of 20 sessions to use. Med iLight should be used in a dark room with your device on the brightest setting.

The white light sequence (Access Code : DEMO) is beneficial for those that have Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Seasonal Affective Disorder, or seasonal depression, most commonly occurs during the winter. Some people experience depression symptoms such as oversleeping, little energy, difficulty concentrating, etc. White Light Therapy, which imitates sunlight, affects the brain chemicals linked to moods. Since SAD is a type of mood disorder this sequence helps ease the symptoms.
